Doug Green

Born: 3/20/1946

As a Blue Grass Boy: Doug Green served two stints with Bill Monroe. In 1967 he briefly filled the guitarist and lead singer role while on a break from college. He returned for a slightly longer time in 1969, this time as bass player.

Before and After: Since 1977 Green has been better known as "Ranger Doug", guitarist and vocalist with the Western group Riders in the Sky.
